The European Union (EU) is an economic and political union of 27 member states which are located in Europe.
EU comes from EEC (the European Economic Community) of which members were West Germany, France, Italy, the Netherlands, Belgium, and Luxembourg.
When I was a university student, there was only EEC.
I am surprised that an idea of EU comes true.
