Before the trip to Vancouver, I learned an expression “playing it by ear.”
It means trying whatever looks or sounds interesting.
It is a very popular expression when we don’t have any special plans.
During the trip, I used the expression several times, for example, to a custom officer and a desk clerk at the hotel.
Everyone could understand what I wanted to say.
