A trip to Belgium

I usually use Lufthansa when I go to Europe.
If I use Lufthansa, it takes 13 hours to go to Frankfurt.
But this time I flied with Finnair.
It takes about 10 hours to go to Helsinki.
It is more comfortable for me, as I always feel pain to sit more than 10 hours in the plane.
Helsinki airport is not so big and there are not many shops in the airport.
It takes two hours to fly from Helsinki to Brussels.

Brussels is the capital of Belgium.
Mainly, there are two languages, Dutch spoken in the north area and French spoken in the south area.
As Brussels is located in the north of Belgium, I think that people in Brussels speak Dutch.
But the main language in Brussels is French.
Though I can’t totally speak French, I had no problem to communicate in English.
I think that Belgians and the Dutch are the geniuses of the languages.

Belgian cuisine is very nice.
Not only dishes but also beer and chocolate are very delicious.
I think that Belgium is one of the countries in Europe with the most delicious dishes.
And I find that the meals in Catholic countries are more delicious than Protestant states.

Brussels has the headquarters of the EU and the NATO.
It seems like the capital of Europe.
It is located at the center of Europe and communication can be done in many languages.
And I think that the most important reason is its delicious dishes.

When I took a boat to go along a canal, I read a caution sign written in four languages.
“Keep your hands inside the boat !” is English.
“Bitte die Hände im Boot halten !“ is German.
Handen in de boot houden aub !“ is Dutch.
As Dutch is similar with German, I could understand three of the languages.
Though the fourth language was French, I couldn’t understand it.
I found that French was completely different from English, German and Dutch.
